Almeria is located in the centre of the bay, facing
the Mediterranean Sea at the base of a sturdy mountain which is topped with an astonishing Arab fortress called
the Alcazaba.
Almeria city is a lively, modern and very Spanish commercial centre with a ferry terminal, sports marina and working fishing port.
